Toilets

We fix running toilets, weak flushes, leaks at the base and toilets that rock. We also replace old toilets with new ones, including comfort-height and low-flow models. A running toilet can waste a lot of water in a day, so it's worth fixing promptly. Mike explains why a toilet tank won't fill.

Faucets and sinks

Kitchen and bathroom faucets, pull-down sprayers, bar sinks and utility sinks. We repair cartridges and valves when the faucet is worth keeping, and install new ones with fresh supply lines.

Showers and tubs

Dripping tub spouts, shower valves that won't hold temperature, and new shower heads and trim. Older valves often need a new cartridge rather than a whole new valve.

Garbage disposals and more

We also repair and replace garbage disposals, install hose bibs and replace worn shut-off valves under sinks and toilets.

Had backup and they came out in half hour on a Sunday and got the blockage resolved. They cleaned up after themselves. Very very professional people.

Water on the floor right now?

Call. A licensed plumber answers day or night, talks you through stopping the water, and gets on the road.

908-873-6686

Nights, weekends and holidays: emergency visits are an extra $250, paid upfront. We tell you on the phone before we drive out.

Do this now

  1. Shut the main valve. Usually where the water line enters, near the meter.
  2. Kill power to anything wet, from the breaker panel, if you can reach it dry.
  3. Open a low faucet to drain the pipes and take pressure off the leak.

Toilets, Faucets & Fixtures: common questions

Why does my toilet keep running?

Usually a worn flapper that lets water leak into the bowl, or a fill valve set too high. Both are quick repairs. Mike explains more in his post on why a toilet tank won't fill.

Should I repair or replace an old toilet?

Repair it if the bowl and tank are sound and it flushes well. Replace it if it's cracked, clogs often or wastes a lot of water per flush.

Do you install fixtures I bought myself?

Yes. We can install a faucet, toilet or fixture you've bought, and we'll tell you if a part is missing before we start.

Why is there water around the base of my toilet?

Often a failed wax ring under the toilet, or a leak at the supply line or tank bolts. A failed wax ring needs fixing soon because it can rot the floor.
